The Adamo Hotel Group is delighted to announce their latest acquisition, the fabulous Ardeonaig Hotel on the banks of Loch Tay in Highland Perthshire.

The former 16th-century inn, previously owned by South African born Pete Gottgens, opens its doors next month. It boasts 25 elegant bedrooms all with en suite bedrooms, a contemporary restaurant ,five individual thatched Shieling lodges and two cottage suites. Its quaint white washed façade, stylish interiors and location make it Perthshire’s most idyllic location.

All of the luxurious double bedrooms have been individually decorated and have their own chic style, king size beds and the hotel is presently investing in all the latest technology including plasma TV, DVD and wireless internet.

Euan Snowie, Director of the company who has taken the property into his personal portfolio said today; “I quite simply loved the property and the opportunity to acquire the Ardeonaig was irresistible. On a commercial basis, the decision was based on the hotel’s fine reputation and we see it as an outstanding opportunity to add another quality hotel to our portfolio.”

What is likely to become the flagship of the Adamo Hotel Group, The Ardeonaig will boast an impressive management team, headed up by Rodney Doig, Adamo’s Director of Operations.

The Restaurant will serve a selection of modern and classic dishes using quality Scottish produce. Head Chef Ross Miller prepares fresh and exciting dishes that tantalise the taste buds.

Rodney Doig continued, “My first step in the programme of development has been to appoint Ross Miller as Head Chef. Ross who has worked previously with The Champany Inn and Martin Wishart and prior to that with the Michelin rated Roux brothers at La Gavroche, will represent one of the key members of our new team and will be fundamental to setting the standard across each and every aspect of Ardeonaig.”

Heading up the hotel operations will be recently appointed James Payne. “James who has a wealth of experience including latterly Skye’s Three Chimneys and Kinnaird Country Estate brings an enormous degree of skill, knowledge and personality to the team” added Rodney Doig.
